Michael Jackson had needed spare parts from his own ear to salvage a collapsing nose, the pop star's surgeon has said.

"We decided that Jackson should get ear cartilage. You make a cut on the skin of the ear and take out a big piece of cartilage," his German surgeon Werner Mang was quoted as saying by E! Online.

Then that cartilage was used to salvage Jackson's collapsing nose back in 1998.

Despite Jackson's continuous denials, it is widely assumed that the pop superstar has undergone a lot of surgeries to look like what he does today.

Somewhere along the way, Michael Jackson's nose has changed from looking like a big old Buick parked on his face to the stylish little stub he has today.
