Now, Lata Mangeshkar to sing in Jail!
Lata Mangeshkar is back in B-town after a hiatus with Madhur Bhandarkar's Jail. The melody queen had promised Neil Nitin Mukesh to sing for his movie, and she is now honouring her commitment.

Lata Mangeshkar is back in B-town after a hiatus with Madhur Bhandarkar's Jail. The melody queen had promised Neil Nitin Mukesh to sing for his movie, and she is now honouring her commitment.
The actor has got his name Neil by Lata. She considered Neil's grandfather Mukesh as her brother and called him Mukesh bhaiya.
The track Daata Sun, Maula Sun is being sung for the movie which takes a look at the life of prisoners. Buzz is that the makers want Mangeshkar's number to be akin to the Ae Malik Tere Bande Hum song in V Shaantaram's Do Aankhen Barah Haath which also dealt with prisoners.
Lata insists it's not a comeback vehicle for her as she has been rendering tracks for regional films as well as devotional tracks.
