, released more than two years ago. Asked why it took so long for them to come back to India, Kare Wanscher, the ban's drummer says, "We've been thinking the same thing ourselves! The album is not all that new, we just needed an excuse to come." The band, which is touring Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore, will perform in the Capital on June 17 at F Bar and Lounge.

Asked what songs the band intends to perform in India, Wanscher says, "We'll play from our new album, and some good old songs people like and expect us to play."

While the band has collaborated with a host of Asian singers, they're yet to work with an Indian artist. "Actually, we did a duet with a guy called Shaan last time we were here. He was on stage with us. But we need to do something with an Indian artiste on an album, so we can bring out the essence of the Indian culture through our music," says Wanscher.

The drummer further says he's familiar with the

: "

music is great! I also know about the

sitar

- everyone knows Ravi Shankar. I am familiar with your music, but we haven't been able to collaborate with someone yet. Maybe if someone asks us this time, with a little bit of research and preparation, we may be able to record something."

Asked about the lowest and the highest points in the band's career, Wanscher says, "The lowest point was at the very beginning. We were new, completely inexperienced, and it took us a lot of time to get where we are. The highest was definitely when we were out touring Asia over the last few years, including India.
