MUMBAI: Appearing for SSC exams together helped this mother-daughter duo come out with flying colours. Sarita Zagade, 44, a homemaker scored 44% and her daughter Shrutika bagged 69%. The mother of two studied at a night school for three years before she took the exam. “I was so overjoyed that I couldn’t believe my eyes,” said Zagade, who discontinued studying because of her family’s poor financial condition. “I owe it all to my daughter.” Her daughter said the experience has made her proud of her mother. “She proved herself,” said Shrutika, who wants to become a CA.
