Police bows to cow vigilantes’ demand, removes SHO

JAIPUR: After an eight-hour-long snarl-up on a national highway in Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh district, police bowed down to cow vigilantes on Monday and removed the officer who booked four people for allegedly assaulting three cow transporters and stripping one of them naked on May 31. Members of the Bajrang Dal and Rashtriya Gau Rakhsha Dal blocked national highway No.113 near Ghumana village in Chotti Sadri around 4pm on Monday.
