UP Yoddha beat Tamil Thalaivas, on course for Pro Kabaddi League super playoffs

Captain Nitin Tomar, who conducted 22 raids and scored 12 points, helped UP Yoddha beat Tamil Thalaivas 37-33 in their Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) match on Wednesday.
The all-round effort from UP Yoddhas ensured they are on course for the super playoffs, while Tamil Thalaivas hopes have all but evaporated.
UP Yoddha are third in Zone B with 54 points from 19 matches while Tamil Thalaivas are at the bottom of the table with 34 points from 18 matches.
In the match, three players were able to complete their Super Ten in raiding -- Nitin Tomar, Tamil Thalaivas captain Ajay Thakur and his team-mate K Prapanjan.
In fact, Prapanjan and Ajay Thakur were in superb form through the match but so were Nitin Tomar Rishank Devadiga from the winning side.
Things were tight going into the dying moments of the game where Tamil Thalaivas captain Ajay could have swung things for his side. But he was tackled in the raid and that ended Tamil Thalaivas’ victory chance.
UP Yodhha was able to inflict All Out on two occasions and this helped them increase and maintain the lead.
At the end of half time, U P Yodhha had a lead of five points with the scored reading 20- 15.
In this half, U P Yodhha captain Nitin and his Tamil counterpart Ajay Thakur both scored seven points each.
