The indomitable have started to doubt their capabilities. China, the badminton powerhouse are really not sure whether their dominance would last in the world of badminton. The defending champions are here to play the Asia Youth Under-19 Championships.

“I think Malaysia, Indonesia and India are equally strong,” said Hu Xuebing, secretary general of Chinese Badminton Association. “I find all the shuttlers having equal strength and potential and it’s not going to easy for China this time.”
Xuebing's statement holds water. In the last edition held in Kuala Lumpur, China was hard put by Malaysia before clinching the crown 3-2. In the semifinals, the badminton powerhouse met with a stiff opposition from Indonesia. “We were lucky to survive the last time. But this time round we aren’t confident enough for a repeat show,” he said.
Saina praised
It’s down to one question everybody wants an answer to and Xuebing handed it to Saina Nehwal. “It’s because of Saina that India has become a force to reckon with,” he said.
