The countdown for the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi on Thursday was done in Devnagri script, projecting the numbers 10 to 0 on large screens.
As the countdown began at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, sections of the audience stood up and shouted each number, creating a Mexican wave. Bright lights focussed on those who stood up to shout.
