The trio of Deepika Kumari, Bombayla Devi and Chekrovolu Swuro lost 210-211 to the Danish team, comprising Louise Laursen, Maja Jager and Carina Christiansen. It was the patchy form of Deepika and Swuro, in particular, that saw India lose the contest by one point. Bombayla, though, shot really well - got three 10s in a row - and kept the team in the hunt until the very last.

The India squad won the first and the last set, but shot poorly in between. India lost the plot when Swuro shot a poor five and six. The men's team had crashed out in pre-quarterfinal on Saturday after losing to Japan.

Shooting troubles

Indian shooters continued to disappoint with Heena Sidhu and Annu Raj Singh failing to qualify for the final of the women's 10m air pistol Event on Sunday. While Sidhu finished 12th with 382, Annu shot 378 to take the 23rd spot.
