It has even got badminton legend Prakash Padukone to conduct a workshop for the crew.
“The last time we made such elaborate arrangements was for the 1982 Asian Games,” said Aruna Sharma, director general, DD.
Along with a nine-camera shoot for the championship, to be held in Hyderabad from August 10-16, international commentators will be got.
Equipment worth Rs 12 lakh have been got for this meet. The event’s draw scheduled for Tuesday will be shown live on DD National and DD Sports.
Prasar Bharati is also roping in private players for the Commonwealth Games.
“There is nothing wrong in outsourcing the coverage as a decision has been taken to provide quality of international standards,” Sharma said.
