Ramakrishan, better known as Ramki, has been roped in by Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ), a non-profit venture that supports Saina and other medal prospects for the London Games.

Ramakrishan will be working on Saina's game along with her coach Pullela Gopichand with help of latest softwares.

"There are so many softwares, and one of them is proprity software - match-point. It is used for mental analysis and performance analysis," Ramakrishan told PTI here today.

It redefines trends and patterns of the game and it is a first of a kind.

After devoting the first six months to collecting data and other informations on Saina and her opponents, Ramakrishan said the shuttler will be put on the simulator in the latter half of her preparation for the quadrennial extravaganza.

"I have already discussed with Gopichand on the things we need to focus. We will make her practice on the simulator," he said.

Emphasising the need to have a trained performance analyst, Ramakrishna drove his point by saying that the Indian cricket team's performance has gone up over the years and it "is getting better" by the day.

"We will definitely play a small role in the Olympics."

While he will be associated with Saina for the time being, Ramakrishna said there is also a plan to work with the boxers.

"It will be great for the boxers and we might work with them in the near future," he said.

Ramakrishna was part of the Indian team from 2003 to 2007.
