Karmakar, Rahi & Sidhu named in 2012 squad
Though not entirely unexpected, Punjab's 10m air pistol shooter Heena Sidhu was the surprise inclusion in the shooting squad for the London Olympic Games announced by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) on Sunday.

Though not entirely unexpected, Punjab's 10m air pistol shooter Heena Sidhu was the surprise inclusion in the shooting squad for the London Olympic Games announced by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) on Sunday.
The selection committee decided that the quota won in 50m rifle 3-position by the Army's Imran Hasan Khan will be swapped with air pistol women's event (Sidhu). As reported in HT, Kolkata marksman, Joydeep Karmakar was chosen ahead of Hariom Singh in 50m rifle prone. Rahi Sarnobat will represent the country in sports pistol.
