Finally, the Indian High Commission came to their rescue and accommodated them in another hotel, but not before the episode had left a bad taste in the mouth of India's ace marksmen - including Olympic gold-medallist Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang - who have qualified for the London Olympics.

The coach accompanying the contingent, Deep Bhatia, said the bookings were made till April 28. "But we contacted the agency, Sports Work, to extend out stay by a day. We even made the payments for the same. However, the agency didn't inform the hotel and we were asked to leave around noon on Saturday."
