NCC, Brahmakundi Govt High School advance

Government High School, Brahmakundi beat Baroda High School, Vadodara 6-0 in the Nehru Junior hockey tournament at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here on Sunday.

Government High School, Brahmakundi beat Baroda High School, Vadodara 6-0 in the Nehru Junior hockey tournament at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here on Sunday. Sumit Patle, Dharmendra Kumar and Siya Ram Mourya scored two goals each for the winners.

In a tightly-contested match, G.V. Raja Sports School from Trivandrum, Kerala beat SOS Hermann Gmeiner School, Kammu & Kashmir 9-7. Binoj SJ scored four goals for the
winners.

Delhi's Ganga International School beat St Anthony's High School from Bardez, Goa 5-0. M Azhar and Aditya scored braces while Aakash added another on to take their tally to five goals. In the day’s final match, NCC defeated Muzzafarpur's Tirhut Academy 4-0. Dillip Toppo and Alphos Guria both scored braces for the team.

Five-a-side football contest to be held

Ashoka Football Club will organise the first Ashoka five-a-side tie-breaker football tournament at the Noida Stadium, Sector 21A on November 21. The tournament is open for all categories and age groups. Interested clubs and players may contact at 9810552637 or 9818754517, with entry closing on November 17.
