Nur Hossain Sardar fired a seven-under 65 at the Digboi Golf Links to lead in Round One of the IndianOil XtraPremium Masters.
Defending champion Shankar Das was placed second with a five-under 67.
Mukesh Kumar, a five-time winner here, was in tied third at two-under 70 with Vijay Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Maniram Sharma, Mithun Perera, Nabin Mandal and Rudresh Sharma.
Saqib extends lead
Saqib Ahmed increased his lead to six shots following an even-par 70 in the second round of the Toyota IGU Western India Juniors Golf Championship at the BPGC on Wednesday.
He is now one-under 139 and six clear of Aman Raj (75-71).
