The Indonesia Super Series champion has been advised complete rest for four days and only then any decision on her participation in the championship will be taken, said national coach Pullela Gopi Chand.

Saina, ranked 6th in the world, is India's best bet to bag the country's maiden world championship title and had been in fine form for the mega event that starts in her hometown, Hyderabad on August 10.

Speaking to Hindustan Times over phone , Saina said she was suffering from fever since Sunday but thought it was nothing serious. “But on Wednesday when boils began coming on my face I went to the doctor and he told me it was chicken pox.

“The doctor has not given me any medication as of now and has asked me to just rest for four days,” the 19-year-old added. Saina admitted that she was disappointed with the untimely illness but did not want to think too far ahead. “Right now I don't even want to think about the world championship. I am waiting for the medication to start, that's all.”
