Sourav and Mouma win north zone TT championship

Sourav Chakraborty and Mouma Das of PSPB claimed titles in the men and women's singles event on the final day of the National Ranking Table Tennis Championship (north zone) that concluded at Yamuna Sports Complex.

PSPB's paddlers also won the girls youth title with Divya Deshpande taking the honour. But G Sathiyan of Tamil nadu won the boys youth title.

In the men's final, down by a set, Sourav Chakraborty shrugged off a strong challenge from Soumyajit Ghosh of AI, to inch towards the title.

Mouma Das of PSPB, eventually winner in the women's final too had to sweat to score 11-8, 5-11, 8-11, 13-11, 11-8, 8-11, 11-9 over Mamta Prabhu (DB).

PSPB's paddlers also won the girls youth title with Divya Deshpande taking the honour. But G Sathiyan of Tamil nadu won the boys youth title.
