Bhuvneshwar Kumar started the match off in some style. Hedismissed Rohit Sharma, Ryan Rickelton, and Suryakumar Yadav, all in the powerplay, continuing hi smarch towards the Purple Cap in a phenomenal season. He added a fourth wicket later on – but it wouldn’t be the end of his night. (AP)

After the early wickets, Naman Dhir and Tilak Varma joined forces with a strong partnership to rebuild. The pair seemed to have played MI into a decent position to accelerate – but Naman Dhir fell to one which stayed low, and MI’s inning lost all steam. (PTI)

Pandya struck five sixes in his 73(46), keeping RCB within touching distance despite battling cramps throughout his body – but he fell to a sensational catch late on, before he could see it through. Jasprit Bumrah’s phenomenal 19th left Raj Bawa 15 to defend in the last – but three wides and a no-ball meant RCB were never out of it, even as Romario Shepherd was dismissed.
