Photos: Delhi launches Operation SHIELD in Covid-19 containment zones

Twenty three coronavirus hostspots, now dedicated containment zones with hard lockdowns have seen the police beef up security, health officials conducting door-to-door checks, and the area sub-divisional magistrates coordinating with area representatives to streamline the process of home delivery of essential items. Adding to these measures, CM Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced ‘Operation SHIELD’, to seal, home-quarantine, isolate, ensure essential supplies, locally sanitize and perform door-to-door checks. Kejriwal, appealing for public cooperation, also warned those misbehaving with healthcare personnel of strict action.
