Indian Railways to provide CCTV cameras at all stations (excluding halt stations) as well as in trains to enhance the safety of passengers. So far, CCTV cameras have been provided at 455 railway stations and the balance stations are targeted by 2020-21. The programme will focus on 3Cs- Customer, Cost, and Work Culture. The employees who demonstrate high learning agility, as well as greater skill mastery, shall be offered an Advanced Program. Indian Railways has been upgrading its rolling stock and one of the biggest technological leaps was the introduction of the self-propelled Vande Bharat Express on the Delhi-Varanasi route. Banking on the success of the Train 18 project, Indian Railways is now looking to manufacture Train 19, which will be a Rajdhani Express style sleeper variant of the Vande Bharat Express. Indian Railways has launched a massive programme for modernization of railway stations, making railway travel a pleasant and satisfying experience for passengers. According to a press release issued by the Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation (IRSDC), two other Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) will come up with Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of 22 railway stations for their development/redevelopment and also they will act as Project Management Consultant to IRSDC.
