Photos: Remembering former CEC TN Seshan -- known for poll reforms
Former Chief Election Commissioner Tirunellai Narayana Iyer Sheshan died on Sunday at his residence in Chennai after recently falling sick due to age-related ailments. Known for his special reforms to conduct honest and fair elections, Seshan was conferred with many awards during his lifetime including the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay award in 1996 for his services to the government. He was 86 years old when he took his last breath.

Former CEC TN Seshan along with GVG Krishnamurthy and MS Gill present the list of newly elected members for Lok Sabha to then president Shankar Dayal Sharma. After the news surfaced PM Modi condoled his death “Shri TN Seshan was an outstanding civil servant. He served India with utmost diligence and integrity.
