Putul Bari or the House of Dolls: Located in Shobhabazar, North Kolkata, Putul Bari was used as a warehouse during the 20th century where goods such as spices, silk, jute, etc that came from foreign nations through trade ships were stored. It is believed that the owners or the babus of the place would rape young women, murder them and bury them in the rooms.
