“The exact cause of high blood pressure remains a mystery, but you may be prone to it if you are overweight, have high cholesterol levels, if you are a smoker, experience high levels of stress, drink excessive alcohol, if you eat a lot of carbs and sit for too long (without movement or exercise) and if you are genetically prone to it,” Nutritionist Anjali Mukerjee noted down a few possible causes of high blood pressure.
