Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshay Kumar were in conversation with Sonal Kalra, managing editor, entertainment and lifestyle, Hindustan Times during HTLS 2019. Akshay, upon being asked why despite being an action star he chose to play an unconventional role, said, "I consider myself lucky that I got to play a transgender person in Laxmi Bomb. I’m proud of that role." Kareena Kapoor Khan on doing unconventional roles said, "No one had faith in me to play a prostitute in Chameli, including the producer." The theme for this year’s thought conclave is “Conversations for a better tomorrow” and will see political leaders, corporate heads and torchbearers from various fields ideate and debate the issue.
