    Heavy rains cause flooding, blockage of roads in multiple parts of the country

    While the rainfall provided respite to the sweltering heat in northern parts of India it also caused damage.

The IMD has predicted "moderate to heavy" showers in the city and suburbs with a possibility of occasional intense rain spells in the next 24 hours.
