Interim Budget 2024: Key highlights from Nirmala Sitharaman's speech

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, during the presentation of the Interim Budget on Thursday, stated that "the next five years will be a period of exceptional growth and significant milestones towards achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047." She also mentioned that a full budget will be presented by the new government following the elections in April and May.  (PTI)

Middle Class: The government raised the threshold limits for tax rates for individuals, aiming to increase disposable income and spur consumption. Neeraj Bansal, co-head and chief operating officer at India Global, KPMG, welcomed the move, especially the financial support for middle-class individuals living in rented houses, slums, or unauthorized colonies to buy or build their own homes.
