Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid a visit to the spot of the Morbi tragedy in Gujarat. The newly repaired 143-year-old suspension bridge- connecting Darbargadh Palace and Swaminarayan Temple in Morbi town- collapsed into a river on Sunday, sending hundreds plunging into the water and killing at least 135 in one of the country’s worst accidents in years.
