Photos: Makeshift patios decorate Paris in a virus hit summer

Throughout Paris, café-goers are now spread out on tables and chairs across parking spaces of extended restaurant terraces made of painted wooden pallets. Following an ease in lockdown restrictions, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo eased outdoor seating limits for restaurants so owners could lure the virus-wary clients. And with the general scientific consensus of contracting the virus indoors, cafe-goers are more at ease on the street in the summer sunshine.
