‘Block’ repairs to hit Pune-Daund train traffic in October

Passengers travelling on the Pune-Daund route are likely to be inconvenienced as train traffic on this route will be affected between October 1 and October 31.
Officials from Pune railway division have informed that from October 1 to October 31, work of maintenance and repair would be undertaken by Central Railway between Pune and Daund.
They said a ‘traffic block’ would be held for three hours during the afternoon from October 1 to October 31 to carry out repairs.
A line needs to be locked against movement of vehicles (traffic block) to carry out maintenance work.
“Due to this block, the Pune-Daund passenger train departing from Pune at 10.30 am and the Daund–Pune passenger train departing from Daund at 12.43 pm will remain cancelled for this period,” said railway officials.
The officials added that Baramati-Pune passenger will run from Baramati to Daund only and will not travel further to Pune during till October 31.
Other trains which will be delayed include the Hyderabad-Pune express which would be delayed by one hour, the Amravati-Pune express will be delayed by 50 minutes on every Tuesday and 1 hour 50 minutes on every Sunday, informed the officials.
The Sainagar Shirdi-Kolhapur weekly express will also be delayed by 40 minutes on every Thursday.
