Nitin Gadkari, union minister of transport and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) told party workers to not be disheartened of the were not issued a ticket in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking at the Punaruththan Samarasata Gurukulam in Chinchwad on Sunday Gadkari said, “It is difficult to issue election tickets to every party worker.Do not be disappointed if you do not receive one. All office bearers and party workers in such a case must stand behind the candidate selected by the party. Everyone must work for the party first and then think of themselves. It is important to not let our personal goals affect the party and we must keep the party strong”.
Gadkari also announced that the central government will fund Rs 5 crore through corporate social responsibility (CSR) for the resurgence of Punaruththan Samarasta Gurukulam.The minister expressed confidence that the education provided by Punaruththan Samarasta Gurukulam will be of a better quality and help to creating job opportunities.During the event Gadkari distributed cows to ten people from the tribal community of Kurduvadi in Solapur.
“Punaruththan Samarasta Gurukulam is doing a great job of educating the children of nomadic tribes. In fact we all should contribute in the improvement of such institutes which help in the upliftment of the tribal community.The CSR fund will help to add the quality education of the society. After passing out from the institution, tribal students should engage in research work,” added the minister.
During the programme, Anil Shirole,Member of Parliament (MP); Pradeep Rawat, president Shipping Corporation board, New Delhi; Vice President of Maharashtra State Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation Corporation among others were present.
