Kondhwa police, FDA raid adulterated ghee unit in Pune

The Unit 1 of Crime Branch, along with Food and Drug Association (FDA), on Saturday raided a unit located in Kondhwa that was manufacturing and selling adulterated ghee, butter, cheese and arrested three men, a police official with Kondhwa police station said.
The three men were identified as Kesarsingh Rupsingh Rajput, 28; Shersingh Ramsingh Rajput, 26, and Gangasingh Sukhsingh Rajput, 30, all residents of Gokulnagar, Kondhwa Budhruk.
The three were taken into custody by FDA. The police have recovered equipment used for adulteration, dalda, soyabean oil, and adulterated dairy products, all worth Rs 3,57,843 from the spot, according to Pankaj Dahane, deputy commissioner of police, crime branch.
According to the police, the accused have been operating the unit for the last two years.
