Depressions develop due to improper soling and inadequate compacting, making the road sink due to load of traffic, says DVR Rao.

Depressions develop due to improper soling and inadequate compacting, making the road sink due to load of traffic. Such depressions accumulate rain water and form puddles making them breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

The adjacent footpaths do not have drains under them for the rain/storm water to drain off.

No outlets have been provided in the footpath for the accumulated water to drain out.

Poorly-constructed speedbreakers further prevents the draining of water.
