Pune police book man for sexually assaulting minor stepdaughter

According to the complaint, the accused threatened to harm the victim, if she told anyone about the incident

The Pimpri-Chinchwad police on Monday booked a man for sexually assaulting his 14-year-old stepdaughter.

According to the complaint, the accused threatened to harm the victim, if she told anyone about the incident. Arrest in the matter is yet to be made,the accused and the victim will be taken for medical tests to a local hospital, added the police.

A case under Sections 376(2)(f)(i), 506 of the Indian Penal Code along with Sections 4, 5(l)(n) and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, has been registered at Chakan police station against the accused.

MT Shinde, police sub-inspector, Chakan police station, is investigating the case.
