The lure of lust landed a 28- year-old man in trouble after he was duped to the tune of Rs 44,000 by fraudsters who promised that he would earn about Rs 15,000 per day spending time with “classy women” and providing massage services to them.

The complainant, who is a resident of Katraj, works as security guard with a prominent educational institute in Kothrud.

The FIR, registered with the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station, states that the con took place between July and October last year. The complainant, who is married, read an advertisement in a city Marathi language newspaper which spoke about a part -time club for providing massage services to women.

He contacted the given phone numbers and was asked to deposit Rs 500 for registration. After he deposited the amount, the fraudsters asked him to pay various charges and he ended up paying a total of Rs 33,000. Twice, he was promised that a girl would come to pick him up, but it never happened.

The complainant didn’t learn lesson the first time and deposited Rs 10,000 in the account of another “club” advertised in the same newspaper. Police officers monitoring the investigation said that the victim wanted to earn fast cash and took a loan to pay the fraudsters. “ His weakness for women also was one of the factors which led to the duping ,” police said.
