1.16-lakh MT wheat arrives in mandis across the state

About 1.16-lakh metric tonne (MT) of wheat has arrived in various mandis across the state during the current procurement season, a food and supplies department spokesman said.

About 1.16-lakh metric tonne (MT) of wheat has arrived in various mandis across the state during the current procurement season, a food and supplies department spokesman said.

He said that food and supplies department has purchased 53,546 metric tonne of wheat, HAFED 28,627 metric tonne, Agro Industries Corporation 5,225 metric tonne, Haryana Warehousing Cor poration 8,888 metric tonne, CONFED 4,684 metric tonne and Food Corporation of India had purchased 15,375 metric tonne of wheat.

He spokesperson said that Kaithal district was leading in the wheat arrival where 22,170 metric tonne of wheat has arrived in the mandis.

Faridabad district stands at second spot with 21,921metric tonne of grain reaching the mandis.
Sonepat district ranked third in the wheat arrival where 18,400 metric tonne of wheat has arrived in the mandis.

In Panipat district, 14,833 metric tonne of wheat has arrived in the mandis.

Similarly, in Kurukshtera, 13,867 metric tonne of wheat has arrived in the mandis, in Ambala 9,160 metric tonne, in Gurgaon 5,463 metric tonne, in Jhajjar 2,906 metric tonne, in Rohtak 5,332 metric tonne, in Yamunanagar 2,264 metric tonne and in Panchkula 39 metric tonne of wheat has arrived in the mandis.
