18-year-old gangraped in Batala

The victim’s uncle Heera Lal and his two friends Jagdish Singh and Harjeet Singh came to house and made her to eat intoxicant laced food.

In a shocking incident, an 18-year-old girl was reportedly gang raped by her uncle and his two friends here at Umarpura on Friday.

In her complaint , the victim said that from few days she along with her family members had been living at her uncle’s house at Umarpura locality. As per the complaint, the victim was alone in the house on Friday. Her uncle Heera Lal and his two friends Jagdish Singh and Harjeet Singh came to house and made her to eat intoxicant laced food.

As per the victim, the three accused rapped her while she was unconscious. The victim said that the accused had threatened her of dire consequences if she reveals about the incident to anyone. Later in the evening, when her parents came home,the victim narrated the incident to them, who subsequently lodged a complaint with police.

After conducting the victim’s medical examination, the police registered a case under Section 376-D (gang rape) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Heera Lal, Jagdish Singh and Harjeet Singh, who are absconding.
