Udayveer’s younger brother, Vijay Kumar, said Satnam from Behlana village near the Chandigarh airport nursed a grudge.

Police sources said Satnam was a friend of Udayveer’s wife, Priya, 30.

Udayveer’s elder brother, Dhruv Pal, said, “I almost caught Satnam when he was fleeing but I lost my balance and slipped.” The accused is absconding.

The family rushed Udayveer to Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32 but he died on the way.

A case was registered under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. This was the second tragedy in the family since June 10 when Udayveer father, Chandel Singh, passed away.
