Kanwar Sandhu bereaved as son dies of heart failure

Senior journalist and Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Kharar, Kanwar Sandhu was bereaved as his son Karan Sandhu (36) died of cardiac arrest on Wednesday.

Senior journalist and Aam Aadmi Party leader Kanwar Sandhu’s elder son Karan Sandhu (36) died of cardiac arrest on Wednesday.

Karan died at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) early morning. Based in Canada, Karan had come to India in December and was scheduled to go back on March 18. Karan is survived by wife.

Condoling the death, Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal described the death as “shocking and unspeakable grief”.

Aam Aadmi Party national convener and Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, along with senior leaders Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak reached Chandigarh to take part in the cremation.

Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Punjab Congress president Capt Amarinder Singh, Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal and cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia also condoled the death. Condolences also poured in from other parts of the country and even abroad.
