4 cases of minors employed at the site come to light

Sanjiv Kumar, who had been rescued alive 51 hours after the building collapsed is a minor. The district administration's list of the injured puts Sanjiv's age at 15. More cases of minors being employed at the factory have come to light.

Sanjiv Kumar, who had been rescued alive 51 hours after the building collapsed is a minor. The district administration's list of the injured puts Sanjiv's age at 15. More cases of minors being employed at the factory have come to light.

Fifteen-year-old Niyamat also worked in the factory. He was also admitted in the civil hospital and had sustained serious injuries in this incident.

Dinesh Kumar of district Chhapra from Bihar, had appeared before the deputy commissioner Priyank Bharti on Thursday evening.

He informed the DC that he was also one of the survivors, but his name was missing from the official list.

The deputy commissioner had asked his officials to record his name and age. He informed the administration that he was 16.

Jagdev of Bihar who has been working with the unit no. 10 of the group told HT that he was 14 and given Rs 3,600 as monthly salary.

Deputy commissioner Priyank Bharti said that he had asked the civil surgeon to verify the age of the injured workers. He has also asked the labour department to look into the matter.
