4 new swine flu cases reported

Four new swine flu cases were reported from various hospitals in the city on Monday. Of them two patients belonged to Ludhiana and one each was from Pathankot and Faridkot.According to state nodal officer of Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme Dr Deepak Bhatia, the patients are undergoing treatment at the DMCH, CMCH and at a private nursing home.

According to state nodal officer of Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme Dr Deepak Bhatia, the patients are undergoing treatment at the DMCH, CMCH and at a private nursing home.

A total of 31 swine flu cases were reported from city hospitals this year. Of them 10 patients were from Ludhiana and remaining were from other districts and states.

As many as six patients died due to swine flu at city hospitals, of them two were from Ludhiana.
According to civil surgeon's office, a patient from Rajasthan died at DMCH on Sunday morning and one from Ludhiana died at CMCH on Saturday night.
