4-yr-old was raped before being killed

The four-year-old girl that was found murdered and stuffed in a sack in Azad Nagar of Daba area was raped before being killed. Doctors who conducted the post-mortem examination confirmed on Monday that the girl was sexually assaulted.

Following the development, a state of shock has descended in the area.

Daba police station station house officer (SHO) inspector Sarabjit Singh said the doctors had confirmed that the victim was raped. Therefore, police ha added section of rape in the FIR registered against unidentified accused.

He said the police had got some important clues and would crack the case soon.

The victim had gone missing on Saturday while she was playing outside her house. Later, her body was found stuffed in a sack on a vacant plot in the area.

The police suspect that afraid of being caught, the accused smothered the girl to death after raping her.
