On November 20, Sunil Kumar, a commission agent, informed the police that some miscreants had looted ` 10 lakh cash from him at the Dhandra Road. The Sadar police registered a case of loot against three people and started investigation.
Now, the police have found that the loot report was concocted.
Additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP) city-3 Paramjit Singh Pannu said the complainant Sunil had confessed to having misled the police.
The accused have been identified as Kuldeep Singh of Rania village, Gurwinder Singh of Giddarwaha village, Rajbir of Mohi village, Balbir Singh of Dhandhran village and Siopal Singh. The ADCP added that it was being verified that whether the accused has criminal history.
