Badal bus hits car of Akali MLA Phillaur's wife, sparks protest

Former jail minister and Kartarpur MLA Sarwan Singh Phillaur’s wife Nirmaljeet Kaur (60), experienced a narrow escape when a Mercedes-Benz bus of theDabwali company owned by Sukhbir Singh Badal, hit her Innova car (PB08-CR-6804) in Rail Majra village situated at Jalandhar-Nawanshahr highway (NH-344 A) on Tuesday evening.

Former jail minister and Kartarpur MLA Sarwan Singh Phillaur’s wife Nirmaljeet Kaur (60), experienced a narrow escape when a Mercedes-Benz bus of the Dabwali company owned by Sukhbir Singh Badal, hit her Innova car (PB08-CR-6804) in Rail Majra village situated at Jalandhar-Nawanshahr highway (NH-344 A) on Tuesday evening.

After the incident, another car was also hit by the speeding bus at the spot.

After getting to know about the accident hundreds of congress workers and local residents blocked the highway in protest against Badal owned bus company.

There is heavy traffic due to which long queues of vehicles on the road are stuck due to the protest.
