The projects also include the re-lining of the Rajasthan and Sirhind irrigation feeders at a cost of around Rs 2126 crore.
Badal called on Uma in New Delhi and also impressed on her to release Rs 1,375 crore for rehabilitation, renovation and modernisation of various distributaries, and allied works in the Upper Bari Doab Canal Hydro Electric Project (UBDC) in the border districts of Amritsar and Gurdaspur.
Badal also sought release of special funds to the tune of Rs 918.25 crore for renovation and modernisation of canals being fed from Satluj river. The water resources ministry had already sanctioned the amount on November 13, 2015.
Bharti assured Badal to get all the requests thoroughly examined by her ministry before taking a final decision.

Rs 46.12 crore for carrying out flood protection works along Beas river
Rs 190 crore for channelisation of Sakki/Kiran nullah
Rs 284.98 crore for Swan river flood management
Rs 161 crore for execution of flood protection project under river management activities and water-related works in border areas
Rs 135.63 crore for channelisation of Ghaggar river as cleared by the Ghaggar standing committee.
