The bhog ceremony of veterinary pharmacist Jaswinder Singh was held at his native village Nahinawala here on Sunday. Jaswinder had committed suicide on June 21 at his dispensary at Singho village in this district blaming the policies of the state government.

Farmers' union, ETT teachers' union, veterinary pharmacists' union state president Kuldip Singh Brar and other members paid tributes to Jaswinder Singh. Amardeep Singh, district president of pharmacists' union said if the chief minister failed to meet their demands at a meeting on July 5, they would intensify the stir.
