Bid to loot ATM of Punjab National Bank
An attempt was made to loot an unguarded ATM of the Punjab National Bank branch situated on the College Road on Saturday night. The miscreants fled the spot after they were noticed by an alert chowkidar of the market.

An attempt was made to loot an unguarded ATM of the Punjab National Bank branch situated on the College Road on Saturday night. The miscreants fled the spot after they were noticed by an alert chowkidar of the market.
Bank branch manager Gian Chand Goyal said, "Five people in a without-number plate car were loitering around the ATM area. Getting suspicious by their repeated rounds, market chowkidar went to inform the police.
In the meanwhile, thieves disconnected power supply to the ATM, barged into the kiosk and then pasted a tape on the CCTV cameras. When the police arrived, thieves fled."
