Birinder Gill is new Chandigarh Golf Club president

The CGC election has always been one of the most talked about events of Chandigarh’s social calendar, largely because of the “elitist” tag carried by the club.

Birinder Singh Gill (aka Gilly) has won the Chandigarh GolfClub (CGC) presidential elections. He defeated Lt Col JS Panag by a margin of approximately 400 votes.

This is the fifth time that Gill has won the coveted top post. Earlier he remained president of the club during 2009-11 and 2014-16. Results for rest of the 11-member committee are expected to be out by Monday evening.
