Though he did not speak to media about the reason of his visit, but Hooda said that he would reveal about the details of the meeting at Gohana. Sources said that Sangwan, son of Jat stalwart and three-time MP Kishan Singh Sangwan, would formally join Congress party at Gohana on Wednesday.
Notably, Sangwan, who was a front-runner for BJP ticket from Sonepat seat, was sidelined and a former Congressman was given the ticket. Sangwan even staged a protest outside BJP national president Rajnath Singh's house in Delhi, but to no avail. A day before meeting chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at his ancestral village on Tuesday, he announced to back Narendra Modi, if he gets elected as independent candidate.
Political experts say that induction of Pradeep in Congress would certainly improve the prospects of Congress nominee Jagbir Malik.
