The BJP on Sunday threatened to initiate legal action against the "derogatory" post.

"We are looking into whether a case can be registered under the Indian Penal Code, besides the Information Technology Act against the 'derogatory' remarks posted by CPS Neeraj Bharti on his Facebook account," BJP's chief whip and Shimla legislator Suresh Bhardwaj said here on Sunday.

"It does not behove of elected legislators to post such posts. Moreover, Bharti is also a CPS," he added.
