Body of missing youth recovered from fields

The body of a 23-year-old youth, who had gone missing on October 29, was recovered from fields near Ratola village of Amargarh sub-division of the district. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Sameer of Malerkotla town of the district.

The body also bore a big injury mark on head. As per the complaint filed by his brother Mohammad Aamir, Sameer, who worked as an electrician, had gone to Dairy Wala Mohalla in Malerkotla on October 29, but did not come back after that. The body was handed over to the family after post mortem. A case has been registered under Section 302 of the IPC against unknown persons.
